She was also honored with an Israel Prize from the Israel Foundation in 2011 for her work in the field of building houses for Jewish communities.

She is also the founder of the National Jewish Council of Greater Philadelphia, an organization that works to support and empower Jewish communities throughout the country.
In her personal life, Tanya is the mother of two children, a boy and a girl.
She lives in New York City with her husband, Jules, and their two children.
She works as a consultant and adviser for the Israeli construction industry, including for the United States, Germany, Spain, and Israel.
She graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Finance.
