Commercial construction windows are supposed to be ready to open as soon as possible.
But that’s not always the case, and the window on the second floor of a building that will house an apartment complex is already in place.
The building is being used as a new site for the construction of the second phase of the Gateway East Metro Rail Project.
The Gateway East will be the rail line connecting Atlanta with downtown, and as a result of the construction, there’s no real traffic in that area.
The second phase will be built as a high-speed rail link between Atlanta and downtown, but the first phase of rail will take place in downtown.
The first phase will also include a new station for the Atlanta BeltLine, which will serve as a link to downtown.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the second window is set to open in late November.
The city has spent the last several months preparing for the window to open, including an elaborate public outreach campaign and the use of a series of billboards to inform people about what’s happening in the area.
Atlanta City Councilmember Mary Norwood, who chairs the Council’s Transportation Committee, said the window is a “great opportunity for everyone in Atlanta to have the best public space possible, especially if we have to move people or people are having to relocate from one part of town to another.”
The Atlanta Beltline has been delayed several times in the past, but this is the first time it will not be ready.
It will be ready when it’s ready, she said.
The next window will be opened on November 17, but until then, the city is holding out hope for more windows.
“We know that we’re going to have a lot of construction, and we want to be sure that we can have a safe and pleasant experience for our residents and guests,” Norwood said.
A window for the second part of the project is expected to open sometime around mid-December, and Metro Transit is planning a number of public tours of the first two phases.
If you’re planning to visit the Gateway West Metro Rail project site in November, Metro is asking you to get your travel plans together and plan ahead.
“The Gateway East project is very close to completion and there are some really important milestones that we expect to achieve by the end of the year, so we need to make sure that everyone is prepared for the next steps,” Metro spokesperson Tanya Neshek said in a statement.
