Benfica to pay €1.6m for Benfic players

Benficas first-team squad will be paid €1,000 a week, as they are set to be paid an additional €1m over the next two seasons, according to the club.

Benfica will pay €800,000 over two seasons to its first-choice team, and the rest will be allocated to the rest of the squad.

The Portuguese club will also pay €2m to its academy team in the next season, with another €1million to be allocated for the future.

The club is expected to complete the signing of nine new players over the course of the transfer window, including six forwards, four defenders, and two midfielders.

The deal is subject to the approval of the Brazilian Football Federation, which has the final say on the transfer fee.
