When it comes to our country, the most important thing is that we are safe, not that we aren’t safe, says one of the country’s most prominent political commentators.
The American Conservative writer and former Republican operative has been a strong supporter of Trump since he announced his candidacy for the White House.
He has said the former reality television star would be a strong commander-in-chief, as well as a “great leader.”
He has been quoted as saying the Trump administration would “bring about the ultimate collapse of our democracy.”
“We’re not going to have a Republican President in 2020,” he told Fox News in February.
“We’re going to need a Democrat in 2020.
And the Democratic Party is a much better, better, safer place than the Republican Party.
We can’t afford to let that happen.”
He also said he would vote for Hillary Clinton in November if she were to be the Democratic nominee, a sentiment that drew widespread condemnation from the Democratic establishment and from some Republicans.
And he said that the country was “not at war” with Russia, a position that some critics have questioned, but that Trump is not a war leader.
“I’m not sure that the Russian threat to us is very serious, but I’m not at war with Russia,” he said.
“I would like to see him, as president, take the steps that he would take as president to try to address the threat that Russia poses,” he added.
The Republican operative also said that he believed that President Trump would make the right decisions in the future.
“The question is, will he actually take those steps?” he asked.
“Will he stand up to Vladimir Putin?
Will he stand for the American people?”
